Future Ideas for AAA

Personally I'd still like to see the Simple Records recordings appear on an AAA CD. While many may agree with the band about the way these recordings were butchered by the record company they are almost impossible to find now (especially the two versions only appearing on the Feast of Scottish Folk LP). Also they are interesting as they show how songs such as Dance Called America, Skye and Lifeline evolved to the versions we have now.

Also, unlike the majority of you, I actually happen to like the long version of Skye and Lifeline which appear on the Feast of Scottish Folk LP and remastered or good copies from vinyl to CD would be great.

It's kind of the same version, think album and single edit

Of course I doubt these will ever make it to an AAA CD because if I remember correctly (from the Songbook and Going Home) it's not entirely clear who actually owns the rights to these recordings after Simple Records folded.

It would be ice to have decent CD copies of them though -- we can live in hope I suppose!

perhaps Runrig could negotiate with Simple and try and get any rare recordings such as Dance Called America to a future AAA

How do you negotiate with a company that doesn't exist anymore?

Salty Breezes/Salm as I already mentioned earlier, and then ON THE EDGE and SGTG from this years summer tour if they will not appear on an official live CD or DVD that is.
