One of the downsides of you tube is that if you look for a particular song and it doesn't have an official video then you end up getting loads of poor sound quality from mobile phone captures at gigs or badly edited films.
Making the best of a bad choice is this anime sequence using
Violent Pornography by System Of A Down.
Despite the obvious sexual connotations of the title and the chorus lines the song is actually making a very valid point about what is acceptable on American (and our own) TV. It seems rediculous that a country that accepts so much violence in it's mainstream programmes such as soap operas finds itself in compleate uproar at the breif glimpse of a nipple when it also accepts high amounts of erotic pornography through adult satelite channels.
It's an old story but a song that really exposes the hypocracy of a nation (or two). There was an article in America about people complaining about adverts for Dove soap and beauty products because of the nudity and sexualisation of women.
We have probably all seen the same Dove ads over here and there is nothing sexual about them at all DESPITE there being nudity involved.
The are advertising a product that is used in the shower and who the hell goes to the shower dressed? (even if it is in a swimsuit). IMO, the ads are decent enough ads but I guess that if people look for something sexual, they will find it in anything. I guess most normal people can't help the dirty minds of others and that is what this song is about.
