Hmm, too many to mention!

First of all was the karaoke night, that was just such a fantastic atmosphere with a good crowd of folk!

Special moment was seeing a few friends I've not seen in years, that made it even more amazing than ever!

Vatersay boys with Local Hero/Ciosmul Galley (even though I've danced to it loadsa times before!)

Great Big Sea with Mari Mac...a classic!

Runrig with Year of the Flood and especially Every River, Clash of the Ash, In Scandinavia and of course On the Edge

And the mud...I've never seen so much mud before in my life! WOW!!! laugh.gif

Are there any moments from during Borlum that made you go 'WOW'

I'll start with Malky's excellent performance with 2 guitars in the one song. Saw the guitar and the stand being carried out and couldn't work out what was going on. A brilliant piece of malkymagic being able to play 2 guitars like that.

One of the other moments was the female violin player in the short skirt during Stamping Ground. A pleasant sight (and an eyefull!! ohmy.gif ) amidst all the rain, mud and glaur

Any more....

missed that ...... which song was that?

Malky was in full 'smug mode' next to Laura - just as he was in NY! I wonder if it was his request that she play at Borlum??!! biggrin.gif

It was nice meeting up with old friends again before the event and music, that's what the Runrig experience is all about for me so a wow there cool.gif
On the edge was also a wow for me cool.gif Also Brian played a blinder live with Somethings got to give smile.gif Great Big Sea and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers were excellent too. Well prior to RR it was the Vatasay Boys, the drummer and the fiddler were brill.

As for Runrig well Every River obviously, Bruce was just so relaxed and had the crowd at his feet.

But Ocean Road will remain with me for years to come. Total WOW

Wow moment? Malcolm's guitar solo at the end was definitely one.

But the real 'wow moment' was when we managed to get our car off the muddy field and on to tarmac - sometime in the wee small hours after the gig!!

RC I had the pleasure of hearing not only Hendo sing at the karaoke, but Bydand and Fiery (twice!!)

Loved Brian singing "Somethings Got to Give". That has never been my favourite track on the album but hearing it live like that....amazing!!

That only topped the rest by a teensy margin!! The only thing that was less that great was Aberfeldy....hey ho can't win em all! laugh.gif

Mmmm, wow moments from the day.

Great Big Sea; Laura McGhee; Malky's guitar playing (better than ever); Laura McGhee; spending time with some friends that I haven't seen for a while and did I mention Laura McGhee? Oh and of course Runrig.
