Yes the weather was very kind to us .....not sure what the temperature was, it didn't feel that cold until the we got to the top where it was windy and on the way down the temperature seemed to drop very quickly as the sun went down....but it was a brilliant day

Yes Lionel we were very lucky to be able to go walking in the week, much quieter .......drove past the main access point today on my way to Cardiff and there were cars and people everywhere...and hardly any snow left .....obviously good timing on our part

Well I got up into the Brecons today, even though I'm a bit down with the lurgy at the moment. Went up Fan Fawr and then down into the valley with the Ystradfelte reservoir in it (where I nearly lost my feet it snow covered boggy ground on a couple of occasions! ).
Planning on dragging some mates up Pen y Fan next Sunday after some drinks to celebrate my birthday the night before!
Copying my (rather awful - taken with my camera phone) pictures to my PC as I write!
