Jacqui - we'll have to get a May meet organised for the Border hills if it doesn't coincide with your Rannaoch week. There are a few hills in that area that I want to climb and it isn't that far from Geordieland is it ? We'll see how the Lomond meet goes then I may propose another one to get you out on those beloved hills of yours !!

Lionel - first of all - no I didn't have to cross the river Lyon fortunately as I could hear it long before I could see it such was the ferocity of the river !!

Yes it was flipping cold Whitts ...even had to resort to wearing my hat (and I really hate doing that ) but the wind wasn't as bad as the forecast ..... I'd weighted my rucksack down though just in case
