I would too Spud....could do with a sauna at present biggrin.gif .......doing the ironing just doesn't have the same effect biggrin.gif

Best wishes for Tuesday from me too ...will keep my fingers crossed for you

Thank you very much Annie for your kind wishes too! Keep training and hillwalking with your dog. One of my plans in the future is to go hillwalking in Wales (Brecon Beacons). So we might meet one day to climb Pen Y Fan for example.

Its a hot thread today eh ?

Thanks for the pictures Annie - it looks bloody cold in that low cloud though lass - and how was the wind by the way ? wink.gif

Jacqui - we'll have to get a May meet organised for the Border hills if it doesn't coincide with your Rannaoch week. There are a few hills in that area that I want to climb and it isn't that far from Geordieland is it ? We'll see how the Lomond meet goes then I may propose another one to get you out on those beloved hills of yours !! tongue.gif

Lionel - first of all - no I didn't have to cross the river Lyon fortunately as I could hear it long before I could see it such was the ferocity of the river !!
Best wishes for Tuesday buddie - I hope things go well and it isn't too long before you're out on those French Alps again posting your own walking experiences across to us !! Take care my friend ! smile.gif

Greig

Cheviots just a wee bit up the A1 - very close to Geordieland! Really fancy Windy Gyle. The summit is the border - so can do the one foot in each country bit! Here is a link.... Windy Gyle

Great pictures Greig and Annie. I love those soft colours...both lots very atmospheric. Girt lush in fact!

Lionel, all the best from me too for the 31st. I hope you'll soon be better and able to get out and about.

Jacqui, just get practicing in that car...before you know it you'll be getting up at 4am to come up for some hills! biggrin.gif

Hi Sheila,

Thank you very much for your good wishes. I feel a little bit better and hope to be back to the hills as soon as possible.

Have you been out hillwalking recently as the weather seems to be very good in Scoltand ?

Greetings from very cold but sunny French Alps,

Lionel
