Well done for trying that! You did brilliantly by the look of it! We'll get you up the In Pinn yet! That scramble looks interesting - strange-looking rocks. Bruach's a dawdle compared to that!

Cheers,
Sheila smile.gif

This is a brilliant walk and I'd love to do it again someday.

Hi Jacqui
The "scary" bit is between the third and fourth munros - probably similar to the exposed bit we did on Dhohuill but for a longer distance. It's descending on a narrow rocky path where you need to use your hands a bit, but there are plenty of good solid rocks to hold onto. You wouldn't think twice about it if it was at ground level - it's just the exposed position on both sides that means you have to take care. Wish I'd taken a close up of it to show you. Am sure you could do it!

Colin will really look in to getting over.......... those hills look fantastic.

Yesterday was good fun I mean getting a lass into a harness and tieing her up with a rope....I mean. Seriously Jacqui you did well to battle your demons and it was a thrill to see you gain so much in confidence. Guess I will be tieing up David next on the in pinn.

Sheila I rate the South Sheil ridge as one of the best hill days ever. We had a fantastic day right to the last top then one of the youngsters ( 18 years old and 15 stone ) twisted his knee. We took four hours getting down having to form a sling between me and his dad with a rope we had. But we managed it without calling mountain rescue. The day was finished off with a fantastic night in a pub in Dornie where the landlord after sending the chef home cooked us some tea and organised a ceiladh.

Lionel I hope one day we get to share a Scottish or French hill.

Me Buuy!

Great chatting last night, hope to see you here soon and I can beat Belfast anytime now - bring on next week - just hope you don't get ideas of tying me up while I'm snooooooooorrrrrrrrrrring!

Well after the "glory" tongue.gif of my Munros completion, it was back to reality yesterday as my pursuit of the Corbetts took a friend of mine and myself up to Morayshire to climb Corryhabbie Hill.
It was fantastic to be in a rarely visited part of Scotlands mountainous landscape and away from the crowds. Also great to get a thoroughly good saturation on the decent to Allanreid where the summer storms relentlessly pounded us for the best part of ninety minutes !!

Fantastic stuff.

You're absolutely right, John! I'm back at work, but my mind is in Scotland. I'm using a lot of energy trying to figure out how to get back. I want to climb Blaven, and I want it sooner than later. biggrin.gif

By the way: Ben Nevis was ok, but climbing Bruach na Frithe was one of the grea-*test*-('") days I can remember biggrin.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

Well done Annedorte and congratulations on your success on Ben Nevis and Bruach. These Scottish hills can be extremely addictive and I'm sure it won't be long until you're pounding the ridges of the Scottish highlands again !!

Lionel I hope one day we get to share a Scottish or French hill.

Hello everybody,

I have been away from the MB for a few weeks. I was in Scotland for 12 days and I had a fantastic time hillwalking on the West Coast with my friends. We climbed together 14 Munros in 6 days and the weather was very good. What an achievement as I walked with my damaged disks and I felt no pain at all in my back or my right leg. RECOVERY is really a great word and a great feeling !!!

I am now back to France but my Broadband connexion is down and I hope to get it repaired as soon as possible.

When I am back on the MB, I will show you my pictures of Scotland. My friends and I, we took more than 500 pictures of our hillwalks. But don't be afraid I won't post them all here. But I will show you some of them as soon as possible.

In Glasgow my friends and I had a great time meeting Mady1 !!! That was a nice Scottish / French Riggie mini-meet. And I hope to attend more meetings with Riggies in the future.

Best wishes and greetings from France to all Riggies,

Lionel

Hi Tiz,

So do I, I wish one day to share a Scottish hill or an Alpine hill with you. You are welcome to visit me in the Alps if you wish.

Greetings from the Alps,

Lionel
