Back out again over three Munros near Glenshee's Spittal. Glas Tulaichean, Carn an Righ and Beinn Iutharn Mhor all bagged in 7 hours.

Today was the start of my training regime to climb all 14 Munros in secion 7 of the tables, in one continuous journey, in two days this May. This will be my sponsored charity event with all proceeds going to Yorkhill Childrens Hospital's PICU.

Hello from the French Alps,

Here are some pics of my walk with snow-shoes today, starting from my village at the altitude of 3000 feet. I walked for a bit more than two hours in the direction of the "Plan du Tremble", a slope where I started skiing when I was four years old. Then I walked to the "Granges", the barns, a place at the foot of the mountains where is located a tiny village of barns. Those barns have been recently sold to people looking for calm and fresh pure air of the mountains. Beautiful views of a blue fog on the hills just before the sun appeared. Great walk ! I added some pictures of today's bright and clear sunset.

Went for a walk in the Beacons yesterday...fantastic weather sun was out and the Buffalo I started the walk in didn't last for long...far too warm biggrin.gif
We went up from Cwm Gwdi but instead of going straight up we did a slight diversion to go up Allt Ddu to get some different photos and make the walk a little longer.
The views from the top were spectacular, you could see the sea in the direction of Swansea which is over 40 miles away....hard to believe it was February !!!
We were going to do Cribyn as well but the rugby beckoned biggrin.gif laugh.gif

Some photos HERE

Annie,

Know them well, aaah Bernard (Cribyn) came down him on my bottom at 20 mph, trailing a UK patterned rucksack behind me! I think I'm due for a return soon!

Great photos Greig - I thought there might be more snow in the cairngorms than there seems but maybe after today there will be!

Sounds like a great outing you've got planned - will you carry a tent or bivvy for your overnight? And is this a build up to going round the munros in a oner? wink.gif biggrin.gif Would love to try that, but doubt the joints would cope with it now!

Keep us posted on how it goes
