Hi Celtman,

Thanks for your comment. That's good news about your walk to the Three Peaks. Will you have the time to take pictures or is it a competition ? Do you train for it ?

I'm a little behind in training but will be making up for it over the next 3 months. I intend to do 2 of the 3 peaks at the end of April so that will be a good -*test*-('").

I will be taking pictures when I do it.

If any Riggies fancy making a weekend of it please feel free to join us in Horton in Ribblesdale as we are staying there from friday till sunday

Hi

As ever, it's great to see all these pictures! All the best for the 3 Peaks, Celtman - hope the weather is good for you.

On Sunday I had an unexpected chance to grab a day in the hills with a friend so we headed for Glen Etive and climbed a cracking Corbett, Beinn Maol Chaluim, 907m. Spectacular day, sunny, cool breeze and amazing views all round. Not as much snow as I expected left on the tops and very soft at that. Still I managed to sink one leg up to my knee through snow into a burn! Brrrr...Would be the day I didn't bother with gaiters and left the spare socks in the car! ohmy.gif

Cheers
Sheila

Sheila

Fantastic pictures as always! Didn't like that scary drop one though! ohmy.gif Glad you had a good day out.

Can't wait to see you - not long now! Had the books and maps out yesterday. Managed an ok session at the gym today - at long last - and the physio is getting there slowly. So unfit! Those 4 we have planned are going to be a tough day and I certainly won't be at my usual pace. Just have to bring extra chocolate as it will take us longer!

Getting excited now!

Hi Jacqui

If you're not at your usual pace, that'll suit me! I might just about keep up with you! wink.gif

Is that a beacon behind you fiery and is it ever lit?

I think it is Lesley. I seem to remember 2 beacons in the ochils being lit quite a few years ago, think it was something to do with D Day or something but I could be wrong.
