Just had a fantastic weekend up in North Wales walking. Went up early Saturday morning and pitched the tent in Betws-y-Coed before heading out to climb Moel Siabod. The weather was great and the sunscreen was needed (can't remember the last time I've needed sunscreen on in North Wales

). Had a quick stop at the local shop to get some carrot cake which had been highly recommended by Big Colin.....thanks for that mate it tasted wonderful too
Great walk and the views of the rest of Snowdonia are quite spectacular from the top.....it was a bit hazy though.Plenty of scrambling if you want to but it can be avoided. As usual we went up the hardest route and hardly saw a soul until we got to the top. We were sitting there enjoying the carrot cake and coffee when a party of people arrived and one of them started playing the bagpipes !!!! Really strange to hear Welsh hymns being played on bagpipes.
It was back to the campsite then for a well earned shower then out to the pub for a pint or two of the local brew and very nice veggie curry
The weather forecast was rain overnight but thankfully it was wrong. The morning started well so we headed off to the Glyders. The weather stayed fine and clear as we headed up Devils's Kitchen but the cloud and mist started coming in as we were close to the top and the wind picked up quite a lot as well. We got to the top of Glyder Fawr but decided that we would cut our losses and head back down the same way as it was a white out on the top and there was no way I was standing on the Cantilever Stone in that wind

.....we'll be back up there in May so will save it for then when hopefully we will be able to do the whole ridge doing Tryfan, Bristley Ridge and the Glyders.
