Thanks Alun,

I really enjoyed walking on Tryfan and the Glyders !

On Easter Sunday, April 8th, Andy and I went to climb one of the Snowdonia 3000 feeters that is a bit remote, Elidir Fawr (924 metres). The weather was a little bit cloudy with some beautiful sunshine intervals. The light was really beautiful and it gave the Snowdonia hills a strange and magic atmosphere and it was different from what we experienced in the previous days. We chose our own route starting from Maes Caradoc Farm. No path, we had to find our way up to the top of Mynydd Perfedd (812 metres) and then up to the summit of Elidir Fawr. The hill was less crowded than Tryfan and the Glyders. We met only a few hillwalkers and it was so good to walk in this empty wilderness. A great feeling of freedom and beauty. Again, thank you very much Andy for this stunning walk.

I have had a great day climbing 2 of the 3 peaks, we did about 15miles in total and it was hard climbing Ingleborough.

Tonight after my lessons, I went ski-mountaineering from 7 PM to 9:30 PM on the Avoriaz range of mountains. I climbed up to the altitude of 2000 metres and when I arrived on the top, I saw one of the most unusual and beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in the Alps. It was exactly 9 o'clock and I saw this !!!

I couldn't believe it !!! It was an astonishing sunset.

Yes indeed Alun !!! And after an Alpine sunset, what about a Welsh sunset ?

That was on April 10th, the day that I travelled back from Snowdonia to Brecon. I arrived at Brechon youth hostel just before a beautiful sunset on the Brecon Beacons.

SUNSET on the BRECON BEACONS
