Is it me or can't we post pictures on here now, I've tried putting an image picture on and it just gives the image addy.

I want to post some pictures from my walk yesterday

Hi Celtman,

I think that we can't post pictures anymore here because I tried several times and it doesn't work. Recently I just added the address of my picture (without using the IMG button) and the viewers must click on it to watch it. I don't know why this doesn't work anymore.

Greetings from France,

Lionel

Hi Annie and Alun,

Thanks !! Indeed a Welsh sunset is unique and beautiful.

Yes Alun, I took the pictures at the Brecon Youth Hostel.

More pics of the Brecons Beacons to come soon.

What a great day we had, Annie, Alun and I, walking up Fan Y Big in the Brecon Beacons on April 11th ! From the memorial, to the "diving board" there were really nice things to see and I enjoyed that walk very much. Thanks Annie and Alun. According to Annie we walked about 13 miles that day... and the weather was perfect.

Pictures of the walk are here :

On May 1st I went ski-mountaineering in the evening from 7 pm to 9:30 pm in Avoriaz. The resort is now closed but there is still plenty of snow. I skinned up from the resort (1800 metres) up to the top of the Arare Intrets run (2200 metres). The temperature was four degrees at the resort and it was freezing at the top so the snow was quite hard when I skied down the long Arare run. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the top and skiing down in the light of dusk was great.

Today it snowed again above 1800 metres so I think I should be back to Avoriaz on Sunday.

Just got back from a great day on Snowdon with Sam (Wangan). Weather managed to hold off, but there was cloud on the tops. Good to be there!

Glad the weather held out for you both....sounds like you both had a good day.

We had another brilliant weekend up in Snowdonia.... did Bristley Ridge, Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr on Friday...lovely and quiet on the scramble part thank heavens biggrin.gif ....think Andy found every back climb he could after I happened to mention I didn't like them much wink.gif ...that will teach me biggrin.gif ...as usual think we did the hardest route down!!!

On Saturday we had planned to do Cneifion Arete but we had a problem with the campsite and had to pack up Saturday morning which meant there was no chance of parking anywhere near...the place was heaving sad.gif So not to be outdone we headed home via Cadair Idris to do a climb there. Sadly we only had time for a short climb but I did quite a good impression of Gollum clinging to the rock for my first outdoor multi-pitch climb in 'mountain boots'....must learn to trust my feet and lean away from the rock a bit more apparantley laugh.gif

Hi Alun,

Thanks very much for your comment ! My hillwalking trip to Wales will remain a highlight among all my hillwalking trips.

Have you been hillwalking recently ?

Hi Annie,

Thanks for your beautiful pics. They reminded me my walk up there with Andy with the same kind of weather : a cracking day. It's really nice to see your pics and to remember the different landscapes. The only difference is that we didn't climb the Bristly ridge, we took the easiest path I think. However, walking the Glyders is a great experience. Vive le Pays de Galles !!!

Greetings from the Alps, still under the snow (I went ski-mountaineering today).
